For a video to promote her wine brand, the actor reenacted one of her most famous roles.
Cameron Diaz has just given her fans a beauty treat from her movie past.
In a new Instagram video, she recreates her famous hairstyle from “There’s Something About Mary” 1998. This proves that she still has some serious styling skills.
The video begins with comedian Benito Skinner riding in his car on the way from Diaz’s house to dinner. As the camera pans to bottles of Avaline wine, Diaz asks him if it is strange to bring his own wine brand to his house for dinner.
Diaz can also be found at home browsing her IMDb page. Diaz stumbles across a photo of herself wearing the gelled hairstyle in “There’s Something About Mary” and cannot help but laugh.
The 49-year old greets her guests when the doorbell rings. Skinner, who is also a Diaz film-maker, jumps up from the side to start singing “I’m a Believer” from “Shrek.”
The comedian can be seen in a red dress that fits well and a gelled, extra-voluminous hairstyle similar to Diaz’s “There’s Something About Mary”.
The actor appears stunned and a awkward silence follows. She then gets into the act and transforms into Skinner, wearing the same outfit and hairstyle as Skinner.
Diaz begins to pose, much to the delight her guests. She then heads outside to crack open some wine with Skinner.
Diaz posted the cheeky caption below: “@bennydrama7 brought @avaline cans to our dinner was not the strangest part of our meal,” and added a crying-laughter emoticon.
Skinner responded, “CHEERS TOWIN !!!”.” Skinner replied, “CHEERS TWIN!” and uploaded the video to his Instagram account with a caption that was a nod towards “There’s Something About Mary.”
He wrote, “There’s something to @avaline.. @camerondiaz.”
One fan asked, “Is that hair gel?” in reference to the famous scene in the film. With crying-laughter Emoji.
Other people also found the video amusing.
“Omg, this is so funny and sweet!” One wrote.
