Sebastian Siemiatkowski laid the foundation for his big plan four years ago with a rap legend. Surrounded by greyhounds, musician Snoop Dogg strutted through a TV commercial to promote easy payment. In the end, you didn’t get very clever about what the Klarna brand should be about – except for a portion of coolness.
In retrospect, the spot marks something like the moment of awakening for Siemiatkowski, founder of the previously rather boring payment service provider Klarna, who processed invoice and installment purchases for online shops in the background. The blue company color gave way to a strong pink. Everything according to the motto: The main thing is to attract attention.
