The Dax continued its recent series of losses on Thursday. The leading German index fell by 0.24 percent to 15,704.10 points. The MDax for medium-sized titles fell by 0.36 percent to 27,338.77 points. The Eurozone leading index EuroStoxx 50 lost 0.19 percent.
Analyst Stephen Innes from asset manager SPI Asset Management said economic data on Wall Street had previously been negatively received by investors on the New York Stock Exchange. The market is now preparing for a possibly longer rate hike cycle by the US Federal Reserve.
