For many French, the containment has been the synonym of a new life office… at home. Teleworking is becoming the norm, and the presence in the company, the exception ? The time crowded public transport, the small coffee between colleagues, informal discussions in the corridors and meetings “face-to-face” would it be gone forever ? ” I’ve changed the assignment in full containment. My integration is fairly original and funny. I am automotive engineer in the West of france where I oversee a team of a dozen people, executives, employees… For the moment, I only know that the eyes and eyebrows of my colleagues, because we all wear masks. The return to the factory is done in a progressive manner. Some of the staff stayed home to keep her children. In fact, in my business, in normal times, we are allowed to telecommute, but I find that, in plants, in contrast to the headquarters, the executives and employees who could telecommute did not make much. Often, they live close to the site of production, to the difference of the employees in the île de france. But, more importantly, there is this culture to be present at the factory… just in case telework is not a subject of tension with the workers. These latter are well aware that they cannot claim, and, moreover, they have not a subject.

In the institution where I work, the unions are rather benevolent, even the CGT has played the game of the recovery, and participated in the discussions. Consideration was given to the remarks of all union organizations, but also of the medicine of the work to put in place the protocol for return to work. For example, we reviewed the itinerary for all visitors to the site to limit the risk of contamination from the outside. Or we have stopped to take the temperature at the entrance, as this creates traffic jams.

there has been a rise in the rate of progressive productivity : at the beginning, the people who were working were doing so on the basis of volunteering. Today, the plant turns almost to normal. People are waiting for you, they just want to work. Even if there is not too much of a concern to have on the future of the plant in France, all the world is fighting to stay competitive. We, our competitors, are the Indians, the Chinese… ”
