In the new week with the start of spring on Monday, Germany is expecting spring-like temperatures and occasional rain. “The temperature roller coaster ride of the last two weeks between wintry and almost early summer temperatures is coming to an end,” said Markus Bösel from the German Weather Service (DWD) in Offenbach.
According to him, cold air intrusions from the north are not to be expected for the time being, rather mild sea air from the west or south-west – which also brings rain during the day, especially in Germany’s north and north-west. At night it can also rain at times in the east and south. Temperatures will reach highs of between 10 and 19 degrees in the coming days.
According to the DWD, there will still be rain showers in the Alps and in Saxony on Monday. Otherwise it is mostly dry. In the afternoon and evening the sun also finds more and more gaps in the clouds. In the north it can then occasionally rain lightly.
Mid-week weather
On Tuesday and Wednesday the weather is similar. Clouds dominate in the northwest with occasional rain, while in the east and south it is dry and the sun comes out at times.
“On Thursday and Friday there will be little change in the mild but unstable weather. But it could get cooler again at the weekend,” said Böse.
