Reporting from the Washington Post, one person was killed and seven were injured in an early Sunday shooting at an outdoor festival near Taft in eastern Oklahoma. One witness described frantic people running for shelter when shots broke out.

Two minors were among the victims of the shooting that occurred near Taft on Memorial Day, according to the Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation in a statement.

Witnesses claimed that a fight preceded the shots just after midnight. So far, no one has been arrested.

The event was attended by approximately 1,500 people in Taft. Muskogee County Sheriff’s Office members were there and began to assist.

At this point, no other information has been given, including the condition or injuries of the injured.
