The identity of the body found below Annnecy-le-Vieux’s Ilettes Viduct on Saturday, May 28th, has been established.
Saturday evening, shortly after the broadcast of the call for witnesses from Annecy-le-Vieux brigade’s brigade, a relative to the victim called the gendarmes. He was concerned about not hearing from the victim’s relative, who resides in Annecy near the scene.
Sunday, May 29 was the official identification of the victim.
The gendarmes are not able to comment on the circumstances of death at this time. The relatives of the victim’s family will be heard in the coming days. Annecy’s prosecutor could request a physical exam. The first examinations revealed that no third party intervened.
Witnesses saw the man’s body, which was approximately sixty years old, hanging in the branches below the viaduct. He was average in height and built and wore an Armani watch.
