A court in Argentina road two priests abuse at about 20 children, respectively 45 and 42 years in prison.
Two catholic priests have a view to spend the rest of his life behind bars, after they on Monday were sentenced to long prison sentences for the sexual abuse of about 20 children in Argentina.
the Assaults took place in the period between 2004 and 2016 in an institution for the deaf and hard of hearing children.
The 59-year-old argentine priest Horacio Corbacho to 45 years in prison, while the 83-year-old Italian priest Nicola Corradi is sentenced to 42 years in prison.
the Court in the city of Mendoza in Argentina refers to it as an aggravating circumstance, that the two priests had the responsibility for children’s well-being, and that the victims were minors.
Grandbetting The two priests, has been in custody since they were arrested three years ago on suspicion that they had been abusing themselves to the children in the school.
A gardener, which was associated with the institution, is also convicted in the case. He has got 18 years in prison.
When the case came forward in 2016, several of the staff at the school was arrested. Among them are a 42-year-old japanese nun who is accused of having been in cahoots with the two convicted priests. Her is not yet decreased judgment over.
In the course of the trial, which was initiated in august, 13 of the victims told about the abuse, which took place at the school for the deaf and hard of hearing children.
the School, which is located in Mendoza, in western Argentina, was closed in 2016, when the first accusations of sexual abuse of children was known.
