There were significantly more traffic jams on German motorways during the summer holidays. The ADAC counted 122,686 traffic jams, which corresponds to an increase of around 15 percent compared to the same period last year, as the automobile club announced on Monday. That roughly corresponds to the pre-Corona level. In addition, there were not only more traffic jams, they were also longer on average and resolved more slowly than in 2022.

The transport club wanted to provide further details about summer travel at a press conference on Monday.
