With the relaxation of the Covid-19 health measures, most of the sporting events that were held before the pandemic have returned. This is the case of the Cursa Diagonal Dir Guàrdia Urbana, which will return to Barcelona this Sunday, May 29, to celebrate its eighth edition. The itinerary, which is 10 kilometers long, will run along Barcelona’s Diagonal Avenue from the part closest to the mountain to the maritime area.
On the occasion of this act on Sunday, normality in the urban bus service in the Catalan capital will be altered. Between 7 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., lines D40, D50, H6, H8, H10, H12, H14, H16, V3, V5, V7, V9, V11, V13, V15, V17, V19 will be diverted or affected. , V21, V23, V25, V27, V29, V31, 6, 7, 19, 22, 24, 27, 33, 34, 39, 47, 59, 63, 67, 68, 78, 113, 136, 141, 192 and tourist bus (blue External Link and red External Link routes).
In addition, TRAM will also interrupt its operation on the T4 line of the Trambesòs network and the T1, T2 and T3 lines of the Trambaix network. In the Trambaix the service will stop on all lines between Francesc Macià and Ernest Lluch from 7 to 9 hours. Also the T4 line of the Trambesòs network will stop between the stops of Glòries and Ciutadella-Vila Olímpica from 8 and 15 to 10 hours. The Tambaix service is expected to be re-established from 9 am and the Trambesòs service at 10 am.
The race starts at 686 Diagonal Avenue, and passes through Pius XII, Francesc Macià and Cinc d’Oros squares, Passeig de Gràcia, València street, Sant Joan walk, Consell streets de Cent, Los Castillejos, Bolívia and Badajoz, returns to Diagonal avenue, Josep Pla street and ends at Garcia Fària promenade, between Josep Pla and Selva de Mar streets.
Due to these effects, TMB (Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona) recommends the use of the Metro in the areas where the sporting event takes place.
