The Government Council of Castilla-La Mancha has authorized an investment of 3.8 million euros for the tender for the works that will connect the area of ’El Terminillo’ with the urban center of Cuenca through a new road near the two kilometers, at the height of the ‘La Estrella’ roundabout. The regional vice president, José Luis Martínez Guijarro, has advanced it as a new step “to fulfill one of the commitments we had made with this city so that the new hospital is perfectly connected to all the neighborhoods.”
The bidding for the works will be done in a few days and the forecast is that they will begin before the end of the year. The estimated term for its execution is eight months.
Two years ago, in June 2020, the president of Castilla-La Mancha, Emiliano García-Page, and the mayor of Cuenca, Darío Dolz, signed an agreement for the development of the Cuenca Special Infrastructure Plan, which links the Singular Interest (PSI) of ‘El Terminillo’ with the city. The works of the University Hospital of Cuenca, in which 210 people now work, are already executed in more than 70 percent.
