The festival season begins in Galicia with the arrival of good weather and the most anticipated celebration, O Son do Camiño, which brings together more than 40,000 people a day in mid-June on their return after the pandemic. The music continues with the famous Resurrection Fest which, after canceling its last edition due to the coronavirus crisis, returns to Viveiro at the end of the month. The following to be held will be the Atlantic Fest, on Vilagarcía de Arousa beach, and O Marisquiño de Vigo, which this year will move the skate tests to Samil beach. The Galician circuit closes, like every summer, with the Festival da Luz that is held in Boimorto.

After the break due to the pandemic, this festival returns to Monte do Gozo in Santiago de Compostela with its traditional format of three days full of performances.
During the next June 16, 17 and 18, after canceling its previous editions due to Covid-19, Compostela will again bring together thousands of people to enjoy artists and bands such as The Chemical Brothers, Liam Gallagher, Anuel AA, Jason Derulo , Nathy Peluso or Rigoberta Bandini, among others.
It has two camping options to spend the night next to the enclosure. One is the rest area, €29 per person plus distribution costs; and another Glamping, with different types of tents for a maximum of 2 people and more comforts such as mattresses, bedding or access to the free buffet. This appointment, from Wednesday June 29 to Sunday July 3, marked on the Galician and national music calendar, returns to Viveiro -Lugo-, with a large number of renowned artists and bands such as Deftone, Judas Priest, Gojira or Korn, among others.
Held annually since 2006, its music program focused on metal, punk and hardcore has made it one of the most popular festivals of its kind in Spain. Tickets, from €39, are still on sale. As for accommodation, this year they offer four rest areas to accommodate the needs of the public.
The free rest area, located a few meters from the Covas beach, inside the Pernas Peón park and included with the festival tickets, has different services such as transport, free toilets and showers, or an itinerant supermarket area. Another of the unmissable festivals is the one that will be held on July 15, 16 and 17 at La Concha beach, in Vilagarcía de Arousa, and in which artists such as Andrés Calamaro, Fangoria Nancys blondes, Los Planetas or La casa blue will fill the musical poster. Tickets, on sale since January, range from €55 to €60 per person.
However, as it is an enclosure located in the center of the city and a few meters from the sea, accommodation is not included. You will have means of transport, but the best option for those who decide to enjoy the three days is accommodation in private apartments in the city, which offer a good price and all the comforts.
Children under 12 years of age will not have to pay an entrance fee and may always be accompanied by an adult, both to the concerts and to the activities offered by the festival, but they will have to present a signed authorization, the same as those under 17, which It can be downloaded on the Festival website.
This option is different from other festivals as it combines music and extreme sports. The essential event for lovers of skateboarding and BMX, will celebrate its twenty-first edition on the second weekend of August, between the 12th and 14th. Although there are still no confirmations of the poster, if the agreement with Vialia -the commercial complex of Vigo inaugurated in 2021-, the large square of the Vialia Shopping Center could be maintained, giving rise to two large outdoor venues, which aim to divide the large public.
This charitable event closes the Galician festival season every summer, since its inception in 2012. As a result of the collaboration between the Boimorto City Council and Luz Casal, this year it celebrates its eleventh edition two weeks earlier than usual, bringing its dates forward to August 26, 27, 28. The poster that includes pop, rock, alternative, folk and traditional music, includes among the artists already confirmed Mala Rodríguez, Heredeiros da Crus, Delaporte and the group Ilegales.
