Face in the sun, slightly tanned skin, lots of light – who doesn’t love sunny summer days? The warm rays awaken the spirits, release happiness hormones and even strengthen the bones by boosting the vitamin D metabolism. The sun is our elixir of life and a natural feel-good drug. But as is so often the case, good things also have their disadvantages – and the sun has its downsides. We find the lines and wrinkles, the sun and age spots or the potential risk of skin cancer, which increases with too much sun exposure, less attractive.
