The Uzestival spring, which runs from Friday June 3rd to Monday June 6, is set to take over Bazas. This big city can be seen from Uzeste’s small village. This is the first festival in its history. Bernard Lubat, one-man band says “I have never played Bazas.” It’s a shame …” that someone spent their youth and life eating beef. Therefore, Friday June 3 will be the opening night of the festival with a Bazadaise concert on three stages at Gerard- Bonnac.
Marc Chemillier, a Normalian mathematician, will give a lecture about “computer jazz”. His music creation software Djazz will be presented. This theory will be put into practice immediately with a concert featuring Sylvain Luci (guitar), Marc Chemillier and Benard Lubat (piano).
“I don’t understand anything.” It’s a blurry conversation between me and the computer. Sometimes he does terrible things, but other times it’s more impressive than I can imagine. He has thoughts that no one else can understand. The machine does not have a happy childhood. It’s something different, and when it is good, it’s impossible to imagine,” Lubat admits. The evening will be continued with Sylvain Luci and Bernard Lubat, the “Intranquille”, duo. The Bazas beef is also available.
Saturday, June 4th, Uzeste will be open between the Cafe des sports et the Estaminet for a concert and a ball, as well as an appetizer and improvisations during aperitif. The festival will begin at 9 p.m. and follow a poetical and pyrotechnic walk proposed by Pyr’Ozie along the stream surrounding the collegiate church.
The program continues on Sunday and Monday with Juliette Kapla, Francois Corneloup and Patrick Auzier, as well as the historic Andre Minvielle and Patrick Auzier, and the young guard jazz with Periscope Non Stop. A Brazilian ball is also on the program, with a projection of a concert against a background of Francois Corneloup’s photographs of musicians.
