Trade rumors about Bears pass rusher Robert Quinn surfaced in April. This topic will likely resurface this summer.
Ian Rapoport from NFL Media reports Quinn will not be attending the mandatory minicamp. Quinn’s absence from the team’s mandatory minicamp this week is not clear.
Quinn stated in April that he wasn’t looking to move to another team. However, he made reference to the Khalil Mack deal and stated that he didn’t like the idea of rebuilding as the Bears move forward under a new head coach. Quinn was not being actively marketed by the Bears, but that didn’t stop other teams from closely monitoring the situation to determine if Quinn would move.
Quinn was a Bears’ defensive back last season with 18.5 sacks. It is not surprising that other teams are interested in Quinn to help their pass rush. In the next few weeks, we’ll find out if anyone makes the Bears an offer.
