Saints receiver Deonte Hary signed his restricted agent tender April 29. The tender is for $3.986million in 2022.
Harty is looking for a long-term contract and has avoided organized team activities in his search.
Nick Underhill, neworleans.football reports that Harty will report to the mandatory minicamp. Ian Rapoport, of NFL Media, adds that the sides are still “apart on contracts and nothing is imminent”.
Harty, who changed his name to honor his stepfather in January, joined the Saints in 2019 as an undrafted agent. Harty had 1,500 all-purpose yards last year, with 199 punt returns and 690 kick returns. He also gained 41 rushing yards in 13 games.
Harty’s role as a receiver was expanded last year. He caught 36 passes and scored three touchdowns.
