So, like, guess what? The Vatican finally let people see Pope Francis in his coffin, no joke! They had some big shot Vatican dude praying over him and everything. Pope Francis is going to be buried this Saturday after laying in state for three days in St. Peter’s Basilica. So, it’s a big deal and lots of people are going to come pay their respects to the first Latin American pope in history, which is kinda cool.
The cardinals had a meeting on Tuesday to figure out what the heck they’re gonna do next. They have to pick a new pope soon. The funeral is gonna be on Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Peter’s Square, and some big shots like U.S. President Donald Trump and Argentine President Javier Milei are planning to be there.
There are some pictures of Pope Francis in his private chapel, looking all peaceful and stuff. The cardinals did some ceremony with holy water and stuff in his chapel to say goodbye. Nelson Pérez, the Archbishop of Philadelphia, and Timothy Dolan, the Archbishop of New York, even talked about Pope Francis’ life and death, like, wow, right?
