An internationally active gang of fraudsters, which is said to have cheated investors out of more than five million euros, has been caught by the police. Evidence was secured during searches in Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate and North Rhine-Westphalia as well as in Spain, Hungary, the Netherlands and Cyprus, including firearms, as the police in Ludwigsburg announced on Thursday. A 50-year-old suspect was arrested in Spain. According to the information, the blow against the gang succeeded a week ago. The police are investigating commercial and gang capital investment fraud and money laundering.

The suspects are therefore a professionally organized gang that has been appearing to its victims as an alleged financial service provider since the end of 2019 and promising profitable stock investments and financial investments.
