Noel, a boy who managed to raise 330,000 euros for cancer research he suffered from, has died this Wednesday at the age of 15. The little boy was diagnosed at the age of 8 with medulloblastoma, a brain tumor that ended up causing metastasis.

Noel and his family, residents of Betanzos, fought against the disease from minute one and it was in the Advanced Therapies Unit of the La Paz University Hospital in Madrid, promoted by the Cris Foundation against cancer, where they found a treatment that fit their case, but that it lacked funding.

“We decided to start an intensive fundraising campaign in March 2019 and in less than 1 year we had managed to raise more than 330,000 euros thanks to the incredible wave of solidarity from the people who turned to our cause,” they explain on the website of the Foundation.

His commitment served to start investigating, but the little boy has died without concluding the clinical trials that are expected to save the lives of other children like him.

“An example for all of us and an inspiration to continue supporting Cancer Research. Thank you Noel for letting us be part of your family. We must continue investigating to end this damn disease as soon as possible. We will always be by your side. », The foundation wrote on its social networks.
