Yo, so apparently New Jersey Congressman Norcross is in the hospital, like, intensive care and all that jazz. His office spilled the beans on Tuesday about this medical event he’s dealing with. Apparently, he got hit with sepsis after dealing with a gallbladder infection. Ouch, that sounds rough.
The dude got rushed to Cooper University Hospital on April 7th after some medical incident in Raleigh, North Carolina. Dr. Kupersmith over at Cooper University Health Care said that Norcross had this gallbladder infection called cholangitis, but it escalated to sepsis. Like, sepsis is when your body freaks out over an infection, or at least that’s what the Mayo Clinic says.
Thankfully, the medical team at Cooper was able to sort out the gallstone situation and is treating the infection and all its messy complications. Norcross seems to be responding well to treatment, but they’re talking about an extended recovery that might need some physical rehab. The dude’s still hanging in intensive care, so it’s no walk in the park.
His offices in Jersey and D.C. are gonna keep running while he’s laid up in the hospital. Sounds like he’s still keeping tabs on what’s going down in the Capitol and back in the district, even from his hospital bed. That’s dedication, I guess.
His family is feeling the love from everyone sending good vibes and support their way. No word on when Norcross might bust out of the hospital, but his office promised to keep us posted on any updates. So, fingers crossed he pulls through and gets back on his feet soon. Stay strong, Norcross!
