Russell Wilson, Broncos quarterback, has been completely engaged in the offseason program. He is also fully involved in other activities when he’s not working. Is coach Nathaniel Hackett concerned about Wilson’s ability balance work and his active non-work life.
Hackett said Monday that when the first game started, you were like “Whoa, will you be able to pick up this stuff?” Is it possible to control the offense as we want? Hackett does a wonderful job of surrounding himself by great people who help him so that he can do all these things while still focusing on football. It is amazing to see. He works non-stop every second of every second he has. He’s always on the plane and watching films, studying, calling people, or calling me. This is what you should appreciate. Everybody is different and every person does things differently. While some people may be here, they might not want to work as hard when he leaves. He is a great teacher and learns a lot from everyone.
Wilson got what he wanted: he is now with a team that will revolve its offense around Wilson. Now, he must prove that he is capable of pulling it off. It will take effort and time. He’ll do what it takes, even with many other interests.
