A vehicle was ravaged by a fire of criminal origin in Saint-Isidore, in Montérégie, on the night of Thursday to Friday.

The police were alerted around 12:45 a.m. to a sport utility vehicle (SUV) on fire in the entrance to a residence on Rang Saint-Régis Sud, near Chemin Saint-Rémi.
The residence suffered minor damage, but no one was injured, said a spokesperson for the Service de police de Châteauguay.
The vehicle, which is considered a total loss, was towed for the purposes of an expertise, while the scene was protected by a security perimeter.
The investigation has been transferred to the Chateauguay Police Department, which should send its fire investigator to the scene during the day.
