A court in Castellón, following the criteria of the Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office, has agreed to freedom with a restraining order for three minors detained for their alleged involvement in the sexual assault of an 18-year-old girl at parties in the Castellón town of Villarreal, according to Europa Press has learned from judicial sources.
The Police arrested four minors for these acts, although one of them was left in the custody of his parents and was not brought before the Prosecutor’s Office as he was under 14 years of age and, therefore, not liable.
The Police -which continues to search for three allegedly involved- put the remaining three minors at the disposal of the Prosecutor’s Office on Sunday and the prosecutor’s office, after the exploration, asked the Court of duty that took over the case in substitution functions of the Juvenile Court, release with restraining order for the three detainees and prohibition of communication with the victim.
The court agreed to these measures in accordance with that request from the Prosecutor’s Office, according to the sources consulted.
According to sources close to the investigation reported on Monday, the event occurred in the early hours of Friday to Saturday of last week and, apparently, it would be a group rape. Apparently, the alleged attackers and the victim knew each other from social networks.
This is the second case of group sexual assault in the Valencian Community in the same week, after last Wednesday the National Police arrested five minors, between 15 and 17 years old, in Burjassot for an alleged group rape of a under 12 years old and another individual to a girl of the same age. The judge agreed to supervised release with restraint for all the minors arrested.
