The senator of the Popular Group for Castilla y León, Javier Maroto, yesterday claimed the quality of life and opportunities to live in a town, like him in Sotosalbos (Segovia), and refused to “feed” the controversy of his election in the Cortes, with the votes in favor of PP and Vox and against the PSOE, which thus voted against its candidate, Fran Díaz.
In statements made on the program La Brújula de Castilla y León on Onda Cero, collected by Ical, Maroto stated that he wants to fight, having chosen as a vital and personal option to reside in the Segovian municipality, against «the idea that towns are little », although he acknowledged that it is necessary to have fiber, basic services and transportation.
“I was not born in Segovia, but I have had the opportunity to meet her and love her,” he argued, to insist that he does not want to continue with the controversy of his election, on which he attacked the position of the PSOE and, specifically, of the secretary regional general, Luis Tudanca, to whom he pointed out that he only had to ask his only councilor to tell him that, indeed, his house is in Sotosalbos.
In this sense, he stressed that it is a life of opportunities that he has been able to discover and is “delighted”, to also dismiss the PCAS complaint to the INE about his alleged illegal registration in Sotosalbos, although he acknowledged that his future lies in national politics. , not in Segovia.
Thus, he considered that “it makes no sense” how Tudanca acted and stressed that “the first victim” is the socialist senator Fran Díaz himself, of whom he affirmed that he is the first in the history of Spain elected by PP and Vox and against your party. “It is marked,” he added.
On the other hand, he stated that Alfonso Fernández Mañueco’s fiber extension program throughout the Community is not only a “question of justice”, but “interesting” both to open businesses and to work from the rural world, for which Tudanca once again made its position ugly in the face of the rural depopulation of Castilla y León.
Finally, he predicted that the Government of PP and Vox, to whom he recognized the respect for the rules of the game by voting in favor of the list of senators, will be durable and will complete the legislature, since, in his opinion, part of a solid program in which the directors were not elected until it was closed.
