The Community of Madrid opens this Tuesday the term to apply for scholarships for the first cycle of Early Childhood Education, which is known as a nursery check, which this year also increases its amount by 33%.
This Monday, the call for the granting of scholarships has been published in the Official Gazette of the Community of Madrid, to which those parents who enroll their children in privately owned nursery schools for the 2022-2023 academic year may benefit.
The deadline for submitting applications will be from June 14 to July 11, both inclusive, and it will be essential that the application is signed by all members of the family unit of legal age who appear in it and must be accompanied by the family book or birth registration certificate in the Civil Registry.
If the application is submitted electronically, in the event that it cannot be digitally signed by more than one person, it must be attached as a document signed by the rest of the members of legal age indicated in the application where they authorize the presentation of the same in your name and, where appropriate, your opposition or authorization to the consultation of data by the Community of Madrid.
In the case of marking the opposition box, the reasons must be stated, as well as providing the required documentation. If the query of income information from the State Tax Administration Agency is not expressly authorized, a 2020 Income Certificate issued by the AEAT dated after February 1, 2022 must be attached. Model 100 is not valid. It is printed when the income tax return is filed or confirmed.
The application must also indicate a mobile phone number and an email address in order to receive the code with which to check the status of the application when the provisional lists are published, as well as the final resolution.
The main novelty this year is related to the amount of the scholarship, which benefits nearly 30,000 families from Madrid. Those who now received 1,100 euros per school year will now receive 1,463; and those that had an aid of 1,760, will go to 2,343 euros per course, which represents an increase of 33%.
The income limit to receive this aid is 35,000 euros per year per capita. Regarding the score, those families in which the parents (or only one parent, in the case of single parents) work full time, or when one of the parents or guardians works full time and the other has a disability, obtain more points. to care for your child.
Large families, parents or children with disabilities and socio-family situations justified by Social Services are also scored, and more facilities are given to victims of gender violence. In the same way, exceptionally, children over 3 years of age who must be in school for one more year in the first cycle of Infants due to having special educational needs accredited by the Early Intervention Team can be accepted.
