The Local Government Board of Valencia City Council has approved this Friday the artistic program of the Gran Fira de Valencia 2022, which will include themed shows for days in the gardens of the Palau de la Música, the ‘Correfira’ in sixteen neighborhoods and towns of the city, offer for family audiences in Central Park and Benicalap Park, two rides and the traditional Gran Nit with concerts in the Plaza de la Virgen, del Pilar and the Mercado.
This has been indicated by the deputy mayor of the city, Sergi Campillo, in the press conference after the Local Government Board. This fair also includes a large-format concert in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento. The mayor has highlighted the “reinforcement” that is made in favor of the family offer.
The event reinforces this year its “commitment to music, theater and dance” through “an artistic program with prominence for Valencian groups and professionals”, the consistory has highlighted.
To the consolidated program in the Jardines del Palau, with daily themed shows -Monday, festive and traditional music; Tuesday, wide-ranging music from tangos to rap through jazz; Wednesday, dance; and Thursday, theater-, family programming is added on Wednesdays in the Palau sur.
In addition, in the ‘Correfira’, by expanding the equipment, some shows will be offered with a larger format than other years, with an afternoon family session and another at night for adult audiences.
For the weekend of July 8-10 in the Benicalap Park and July 15-17 in the Central Park, the family offer of the Menuda Fira programs is planned.
During the Great Night there will be concerts in the Plaza de la Virgen and Plaza del Pilar, with family shows of dance, music and theater; and in the Plaza del Mercado, with a traveling show. To this is added the large-format concert in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.
The programming of the Gran Fira de Valencia includes the two usual parades: the inaugural one, on July 2, and the Cercafira, the afternoon of the Gran Nit.
