“… and then I grabbed a friend and we threw eggs at his car and crumbled a chocolate Santa Claus over the mush!” The voice of the young woman in front of my signing table, let’s call her Julia, cracks with joy.
I was just reading from my book “Ex” on stage and asked the audience about breakup stories. Julia kept a low profile; speaking in front of so many people would have been uncomfortable for her, she says. But she still wants to get rid of her story. “Because it really helped me get over him. I was completely devastated, but since this action I just had to laugh at the thought of my ex. When we broke up, I promised myself that I would never feel so bad again because of a guy – and through my little act of revenge I managed to do it.”
