Four vehicles have been burned this morning by fire in the Señorío de Illescas urbanization, specifically on Ernesto Sábato street, where the cars were parked in line. The local police chief assures ‘ABC’ that it is not known whether the fire was intentional or not: “The Guard is investigating it.”
The firefighters of the regional park put out the flames and intervened for more than two hours, between 2:48 and 4:00. “Two of the vehicles are from the same family and something even worse could have happened, because it is a residential area where there are flats and electricity and gas lines pass through,” Javier Pozo, a resident of the urbanization and coordinator of Vox in Illescas.
«In the last three months, only in the ‘Señorío’ there have been about fifty vehicles affected with broken windows and theft inside. But this has been the last straw. This is firecracker!”, assures Pozo. «There is a lot of impassivity in many ways because it does not interest -he continues-, since we are close to the regional and municipal elections, in May. But the neighbors are that we can’t take it anymore.
This situation is not only happening in the urbanization, located a few kilometers from the town of Illescas. “We have been suffering from vandalism in the last half year and the climax has been the burning of these cars this morning,” says Pozo.
