Mr. Bloch, I’ve been training CrossFit for almost a year. A fairly young sport from the USA that is becoming more and more popular and combines endurance and strength training. From your point of view as a sports medicine doctor: How healthy is CrossFit? This type of training involves high-intensity, intermittent loads. This means that we have a stronger stimulus, i.e. activation, in the body. And that on both the muscular and the metabolic side. But also on the cardiovascular level, mobility and coordination are also required. This combination creates a significantly greater training effect than in other sports. This can have a very positive effect on fitness and health.
