A bus burned out in Imsweiler in the Donnersberg district. The driver noticed the fire while driving on Monday and left the vehicle in good time, the police in Rockenhausen said. There were no passengers on board and there were no injuries.
Four residential buildings were affected by the fire. The police estimated the damage at six figures. The investigation into the cause of the fire was ongoing. The B48 in Imsweiler was initially closed until further notice. The state mobility agency is checking whether there has been any major damage to the road, it said.
