TV profilers wear black suits and sunglasses, hunt serial killers, can think like the perpetrators, and solve their cases almost single-handedly. Mr. Müller, do you want to get rid of the clichés first? Even if one or the other may be disappointed: it has little to do with our work. We can neither think like the perpetrators, nor do we play cat and mouse with cannibalistic serial killers like Hannibal Lecter in “The Silence of the Lambs”. We’re also not super cops who solve their cases alone. Case analysis is teamwork, not a solo dance. But if the viewers have a nice evening with these stories, then everything is fine. However, I myself do not do the nonsensical ramblings of the television profilers.
