Almost three days after the attack in a Duisburg gym, the suspect is still on the run. “The identity is still not clear, but we know what he looks like,” said a police spokesman on Friday morning.
The man was probably filmed by a camera. The investigators are therefore planning a public search in which a photo of the approximately 30-year-old suspect is to be published.
The man had seriously injured four people in the attack on Tuesday evening with a slashing and stabbing weapon. According to the police spokesman on Friday morning, the 21-year-old, against whom the attack was “targeted” according to the current state of investigation, is still in mortal danger. The other three victims, aged 24, 24 and 32, who, according to the investigation, were not the direct target of the attack, are out of danger.
