An innkeeper died after being shot in front of his restaurant in Düsseldorf. This was announced by the public prosecutor and the police about the crime.

According to initial findings, a man had an argument with the operator in the restaurant around 2:45 a.m. After the argument moved outside the building, the man is said to have fired several shots at the restaurant operator and then went back into the restaurant.

Despite resuscitation measures by police officers and rescue workers, the 38-year-old operator reportedly succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Police officers arrested a man armed with a firearm in front of the restaurant without resistance. This is a 52-year-old Kosovar living in Germany. Whether the person arrested is the suspected perpetrator is part of the investigation, which has been taken over by a murder squad. According to reports, the ongoing investigation will also examine whether the perpetrator and the victim knew each other.
