The police arrested three men and a woman in Berlin on Tuesday on suspicion of operating a drug delivery service with so-called coke taxis. Around 300 emergency services searched 26 locations in Berlin and two locations in Hildesheim in Lower Saxony in the morning against the suspected drug gang.
She is said to have delivered drugs with so-called coke taxis: the buyers order their goods via messenger services and have them delivered by messengers.
According to the police, there were arrest warrants from the Berlin public prosecutor against three men between the ages of 20 and 31 and a 32-year-old woman. Another suspect was also arrested.
The group is said to have delivered drugs on at least 205 days between May 25, 2022 and January 10, 2023, police said. The searches were carried out on two suspected heads of the gang, their accomplices and assistants and suspected courier drivers. The action was also directed against so-called bunker apartments in which drugs are stored.
During the raid, the police found cocaine in the kilogram range, cash and digital storage media, it said. Three vehicles were confiscated. The police also seized mobile phones and data carriers. In previous years there were raids against organized drug trafficking with “coke taxis” in the capital.
