The painter from Toledo, José Antonio G. Villarrubia, inaugurated this Tuesday at the Ar 51 art gallery in Toledo his new exhibition, a tour of ‘The Return to the Valley’, with 15 panoramic views and 40 small studies carried out solely in watercolor on paper that attempts to transport the viewer to an evocative contemplation of one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

The sample is based on his experience as a habitual walker of this typical walk in Toledo, which he usually does at different times of the day, especially at dawn and dusk. “What a luxury to walk and look at it, to enter and love it, to understand the cycles of color that surround it!” She says in the beautiful text that the poet María Antonia Ricas has given to José Antonio G.

Villarrubia to celebrate his new exhibition in which his city once again gives magic to its brushes because “Toledo as a model never ceases to amaze, it is always a real visual spectacle,” he says. The exhibition will remain open until June 24 at the Ar 51 gallery, on Calle Venancio González, opposite the “El Greco” Conference Center.
