A middle-aged man died this Wednesday when he was run over by a Renfe Cercanías service train, when he was driving through the level crossing located in the Valencian town of Alfafar.
The accident took place around seven in the morning, when several people, according to some witnesses, with clear symptoms of drunkenness, crossed the tracks through this place where the circulation of vehicles and trains is connected.
After the winding, the railway service has urged passengers to remain inside the convoy, awaiting the arrival of police officers and the subsequent removal of the body.
Due to the interception that occurred on these tracks, the circulation of Cercanías trains on lines C1 and C2 between Valencia-Nord and Alfafar-Benetússer has been affected by suppressions and delays of more than one hour.
