The National Police has arrested a man who was transporting 360 kilos of hashish from Fuerteventura to Gran Canaria, on board the ferry that connects both islands and inside a van.

On Wednesday afternoon, the National Police carried out a routine control of vehicles and people in the Port of Las Palmas, during the disembarkation of a ferry from Fuerteventura.

The agents of the National Police have arrested a 46-year-old man, with a police record, as the alleged perpetrator of a drug trafficking crime. In the back of the van, 12 bales of hashish with a total weight of 360 kilos were found.

During the same, the national police identified a driver who raised their suspicions.

During the search of the vehicle, the drug was located, so the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was finally arrested as the alleged perpetrator of a drug trafficking crime.
