The US actor Charlie Sheen (58) was physically attacked by a neighbor in Malibu, California, as US media reported, citing the police. The suspect was taken into custody on Wednesday on allegations of assault and burglary, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office told People magazine.

According to TMZ.com, the woman is said to have knocked on Sheen’s front door and physically attacked the actor before leaving the house. Nothing was officially known about the reason for the attack. An ambulance was there, but no one went to a hospital, the Los Angeles Times reported, citing the fire department.

Sheen (“Platoon”, “Wall Street”), who is best known for the US sitcom “Two and a Half Men”, has often made headlines in the past for alcohol and drug excesses as well as custody disputes. The three-time divorced actor has five children.
