If the police want to stop you, you can get nervous. Especially if you don’t have a driver’s license with you, but have plenty of drugs in your blood. The solution to this problem was crystal clear for two men in the situation: they pretended to be dead in their own car and hoped not to be discovered.

Previously, police officers had wanted to stop and check the two men in Erfurt during a routine traffic check. But the men didn’t let that happen and fled in their car from the officers. Apparently, while fleeing from the police, they quickly came up with another plan, because the police soon discovered the car parked on the side of the road. Curious: when the officers examined the car more closely, they found that the car was locked from the inside and the two men were lying face down on the back seat and pretending to be dead.

They were very consistent in their acting, but not particularly convincing: although the police officers quickly saw through the game, the men only gave up when the officers repeatedly threatened to break into the car by force.

During the subsequent check, it turned out why the two 42-year-olds were probably not particularly happy about the check: Both were under the influence of drugs and didn’t have a driver’s license with them. After driving to the police station, the men received various reports for escaping and driving under drugs and without a driver’s license – they then had to walk home. Identifying the driver is complicated: Both men denied driving the car.
