From its first to its last day, the freshly started March has a lot to offer for series lovers. It starts with “The Mandalorian” and the return of Grogu, perhaps the cutest character in the entire “Star Wars” universe. “Ted Lasso” will cast its optimistic spell over its viewers again from the middle of the month, before “Riverdale” begins its seventh and final season at the end of the month. But there are also some exciting new releases coming up in the coming days.

The storyline of The Mandalorian Season 3, which begins March 1, is well-kept. The official statement is: “The Mandalorian meets old allies and makes new enemies as he and Grogu continue their journey together.” If you are wondering about the last sentence, we warmly recommend that you first catch up on the spin-off series “The Book of Boba Fett” before going back to Din Djarin aka “Mando” (Pedro Pascal, 47). Because his heartbreaking separation from his protégé Grogu at the end of the second “Mandalorian” season was reversed in the offshoot.

Also on March 1st and also at Disney will start the new miniseries “Fleishman Is in Trouble”, based on the novel of the same name by Taffy Brodesser-Akner. It brings together an interesting ensemble of series and Hollywood stars, including Jesse Eisenberg (39), Claire Danes (43), Lizzy Caplan (40), Adam Brody (43) and Josh Radnor (48). The series is about a family man and doctor (Eisenberg) who separates from his wife of many years (Danes), thereby rekindling old friendships. He becomes suspicious after he hears nothing more from the mother of his two children, who has disappeared without a trace.

Elvis’ granddaughter Riley Keough (33) embodies the eponymous character Daisy Jones in the mini-series “Daisy Jones and the Six”, which starts on March 3 on Amazon Prime Video. Set in the 1970s, the series tells the story of a musical group that rises to international fame. Author Taylor Jenkins Reid wrote her book of the same name based on her own experiences with the band Fleetwood Mac. In addition to Keough, “The Hunger Games” star Sam Claflin (36) and “The Bad Batch” actress Suki Waterhouse (31) also play.

“Luden – Könige der Reeperbahn” is set in Hamburg in the 1980s and tells of the transformation of the eponymous street into a wicked party mile. Right in the middle: Klaus Barkowsky (Aaron Hilmer, 23), who blossoms into the strong man of a pimp cartel that is taking control of the neighborhood with increasing violence. “Luden – Könige der Reeperbahn” starts on March 3rd.

Fans of mystery and character actress Toni Collette (50) should book the series “The Gift” for March 31st. From one day to the next, young women around the world develop an ability that is as strange as it is frightening: They can only give people electric shocks – even fatal ones – with the power of their minds. A circumstance that immediately redistributes the existing balance of power.

As of March 15th, good-naturedness once again has a name: “Ted Lasso.” The surprisingly beneficial comedy series with Jason Sudeikis (47) then goes into its third season. Once again, the US ex-football coach Ted has to prove himself as coach of the English football club AFC Richmond – since the spectacular promotion in season two now in the Premier League, the highest league in English football.

An exciting new and brand new anthology series also launches on Apple TV on March 17th. It’s called “Extrapolations” and shows the consequences of climate change from different perspectives. She does this with an absolute star ensemble: Meryl Streep (73), David Schwimmer (56), Edward Norton (53), Diane Lane (58), Marion Cotillard (47), Forest Whitaker (61), Sienna Miller (41 ), Kit Harington (36) and Tobey Maguire (47) are part of “Extrapolations”.

For the first time, a season of the series “You – Du will love me” has been divided into two blocks of five episodes each. The remaining five episodes of season four will be released on Netflix on March 9th. Series maker Sera Gamble (39) recently revealed what fans can expect after the nasty cliffhanger after the first half. Accordingly, they expect a “serial killer buddy film”, the focus is on the new killer Rhys Montrose (Ed Speleers, 34) and once again Joe Goldberg, played by Penn Badgley (36).

It’s been almost two years since the first season of the fantasy series “Shadow and Bone” premiered on Netflix. On March 16, the Grisha saga continues with new episodes. It includes two books by author Leigh Bardugo: “Icy Waves” and “The Song of the Crows”. For those who haven’t come into contact with the series yet: It’s about Alina Starkov (Jessie Mei Li, 27), an orphaned, low-ranking soldier. In a war-torn world, she unleashes extraordinary powers that could mean her country’s freedom. Faced with the threat of the Shadow Corridor, Alina must join an elite unit of magical soldiers known as the Grisha.

On March 30th, series fans will be drawn to “Riverdale” for the last time. In the seventh season of the supernatural teen crime series, Archie (K.J. Apa, 25), Jughead (Cole Sprouse, 30), Betty (Lili Reinhart, 26) and Veronica (Camila Mendes, 28) say goodbye. At the end of season six, a deadly comet was just barely destroyed and the small town of Riverdale saved. And yet nothing has been the same since then – because the catastrophe triggered a leap in time and sent the protagonists to the year 1955.

With a considerable delay, “Tulsa King” will finally start in Germany on March 19th at Paramount – the first series in which Sylvester Stallone (76) plays a leading role. In it, Sly mimics the New York gangster Dwight “The General” Manfredi. Released from prison after 25 years, his boss transports him to comparatively tranquil Tulsa. Here, in the state of Oklahoma, he is supposed to set up a branch for the New York mobsters. Which he also does little squeamishly.

In their new home at Paramount, the “Yellowjackets” will start their eagerly awaited second season on March 14th. What other gruesome secrets will be revealed about the girls soccer team that crashed in the wilderness? And how do the survivors deal with the tragedy decades later? The constant leaps in time between past and present are what give “Yellowjackets” that certain something. This is also the case in season two and with well-known newcomers: Lauren Ambrose (45) plays the adult version of Van, Elijah Wood (42) joins the cast as a completely new character Walter.
