Now things are getting serious for Kida Khodr Ramadan. The “4 Blocks” actor has two weeks to go to prison. Sebastian Büchner, senior public prosecutor and press spokesman for the Berlin Public Prosecutor’s Office, confirmed this to the Editorial Network Germany (RND). The summons to detention was decided on Wednesday.

The background to this is a conviction for driving a car without a license on multiple occasions and a prison sentence of ten months. The Berlin-Tiergarten district court initially suspended this sentence on probation in February 2022. However, this has now been revoked, as a court spokeswoman announced on Thursday at the request of the German Press Agency.

At the same time as the sentence, Ramadan was ordered to pay 20,000 euros to charities within a deadline. However, this sum had not been paid in full at the time, so the district court revoked the probation, explained the spokeswoman. The actor defended himself against this – but his complaints were unsuccessful before both the Berlin Regional Court and the Superior Court of Last Instance.

According to the court spokeswoman, all legal remedies have been exhausted. Ramadan had to expect that he would receive a summons to go to prison – this has now happened.

In the award-winning television series “4 Blocks”, Ramadan played the head of a criminal clan of Arab origin in Berlin-Neukölln, which has to deal with murder, violence, drug deals, other gangsters and the LKA investigators.
