The handball players of SV Union Halle-Neustadt could not stop the triumphal march of SG BBM Bietigheim. Coach Jan-Henning Himborn’s team lost 26:39 (12:20) to the leader, who was still without a loss. After the 15th defeat of the season, the women from Saalestadt are only in the last non-relegation zone because of the better goal difference compared to Neckarsulm. The biggest contributors to the hosts’ success were Kim Naidzinavicius (6/2) and Xenia Smits (5). Judith Tietjen (7), Madeleine Östlund and Cecilie Woller (5 each) scored the most goals for SV Union.

The guests slept through the starting phase and were already 1:8 behind after twelve minutes. The women from Halle were then able to keep the gap within limits until the beginning of the second half and fought their way up to 21:27 by the 42nd minute. With seven goals in a row, Bietigheim pulled away to 34:21 (53rd) and finally removed the last doubts about the 21st victory in the 21st game.
