“Anybody want pizza?” This question is rarely heard from Prince William (40) and Princess Kate (41). But during their visit to Wales, they became pizza delivery men and supplied a mountain rescue team. There are videos of the casual appearance online.
The royal couple will be touring the South Wales Valleys and Mid Wales for two days. To kick things off, they visited the Central Beacons Mountain Rescue team, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year. After training with the mountain rescuers, they went to a food stall at Dowlais Rugby Club in Merthyr Tydfil township. As “People” reports, the royals ordered 22 pizzas for the team – including pepperoni, margherita, grilled chicken and goat’s cheese. Little Dragon Pizza Van owner Peter Morris later said, “The princess asked if we could make our own dough.” She told him “that they love to bake pizzas with their children”. For him it was “surreal” to prepare pizza for the future royal couple.
A video of the action was published on the official Twitter account of the royal couple of Wales. It shows William and Kate exiting the food truck with some pizza boxes in their hands. The couple wore casual casual attire. Kate protected herself against the wind and cold with an Alexa Chung Barbour jacket, worth around 430 euros.
Before eating pizza, there was action: Kate and William practiced abseiling and medical assistance with the mountain rescue team. They also took part in a search dog rescue demonstration. The Royals also show pictures of it on their Instagram page.
For the day in the windy area of ??Bannau Brycheiniog, the royal couple chose hiking gear. The princess wore a €680 Kongur MRT women’s jacket, €125 G-Star RAW gray pants and €200 Berghaus hiking boots.
The Royals showed full physical effort despite the rain. When asked by the instructors if he had rappeled before, William said, “It’s been a while.” To save a fictional victim, Kate radioed her husband for a rescue kit and asked, “Do you have everything on the list?” Then she added jokingly, “It’s like calling him about the weekly shop!”
Before the great coronation of King Charles III. (74) on May 6, the prince couple seems to be very relaxed. In Wales, they didn’t stay in a five-star hotel, but down-to-earth in a small bed and breakfast.
