Netflix is ??currently working on a documentary series starring ex-soccer star David Beckham. The “Daily Mail” reports that he not only talks about his sporting successes, but also gives insights into his everyday life. It is said that he is apparently characterized by obsessive-compulsive disorders. Because Beckham suffers from a compulsion to tidy up and clean, he is said to reveal in the documentary. In the kitchen, he reportedly told the film crew, “I clean so well I’m not sure my wife really appreciates that, to be honest. And the fact that I do it when everyone’s in bed , go around, clean the candles, adjust the lights, and make sure everything is tidy.”

According to the report, Beckham is said to have a compulsive tidying-up and spend hours cleaning up his family’s perceived chaos. “I hate coming down in the morning with mugs, plates and bowls lying around. It’s tiring to go around and clean each candle individually. I cut off the candle wax and clean the jar. My favorite hate is the smoke trails inside the jars . I know it’s weird”.

Ex-“Spice Girl” Victoria Beckham assured the film crew that David “is just perfect” and that the family appreciates his efforts. “Don’t believe that for a second,” Beckham is said to have replied, “that’s pure sarcasm.”

According to the “Daily Mail”, Netflix paid the ex-soccer player around 18 million euros for the film rights. The documentary should show excerpts from his entire life, including private recordings from the past 40 years. Of course, it’s about his rise to become a world-famous athlete, but also about David Beckham’s private life and his obsessive-compulsive disorders, which are very reminiscent of the series character “Monk”.

It is not known when Netflix will air the documentary. The newspaper, which apparently had access to a few excerpts, writes that publication can be expected “soon”. Netflix did not give an exact date.
