The fans are dismayed: Because Meta is discontinuing its Facebook Watch offer, the popular talk show “Red Table Talk” by Jada Pinkett Smith (51) is being ended. This is reported, among other things, by the “People” magazine. Will Smith’s (54) wife also announced on her social media channels that her show, which was broadcast on Facebook, was coming to an end: “We are so grateful that we had such a wonderful partnership with Facebook Watch and we feel so sorry to see the entire team being disbanded. We wish everyone the very best on their journey.”

However, Jada Pinkett Smith also announced in this post that fans can hope for a return of her talk show. “We at Red Table are in the process of finding a new home and we will see each other again soon,” the statement said at the end.

“Red Table Talk” has been running on Facebook Watch since May 2018 and will now come to an end there after its fifth season. The show will be hosted by Jada Pinkett Smith, her daughter Willow Smith (22) and her mother Adrienne Bandfield-Norris (69). The three-generation group was even awarded an Emmy for their talk show concept in 2021. Hallmarks of the show are open conversations about important and often somewhat provocative topics.

“Being able to sit there as three Black women and have the variety of perspectives is really interesting because I know a lot of people just like to categorize Black women. That myth needs to be dispelled,” said Jada Pinkett Smith in an interview with “Rolling Stone” magazine, which she believes accounts for the success of the show.

With Meta shutting down its original Facebook Watch group, more celebrity hosts are saying goodbye to their shows. Among other things, the drama series “Sorry For Your Loss” by Elizabeth Olsen (34) and “Limetown” by Jessica Biel (41) will be discontinued.
