Back to her “Baywatch” roots: Pamela Anderson (55) has teamed up with the trendy swimwear label Frankies Bikinis and is now launching her very first swimwear collection in early May. Of course, the capsule collection also includes a model that is reminiscent of Pamela Anderson’s early career and her time as a “Baywatch” star.

On Instagram, the actress shows herself in the heart of the collection: a bright red, sexy swimsuit that is strongly reminiscent of the one-piece suit from the famous cult series. “It’s about time,” Anderson announces with anticipation. “A dream becomes true.”

She couldn’t have asked for anyone better for the collaboration than Frankie Bikinis founder Francesca Aiello (28). “She grew up with my boys before my eyes. Our story is authentic and unique,” writes the 55-year-old about working with the young swimwear designer.

She expressed her joy at working with her idol on Instagram. “I can’t put into words my gratitude to everyone who worked on this project,” Francesca Aiello comments on a photo of herself and Pamela. “To know Pam is to love her.” She met her as a child in her small town by the sea.

The two women’s collection consists of 22 pieces in total – in addition to the red one-piece suit with a scoop neckline and high-leg cut, for example, there will soon be a white triangle bikini designed according to Pamela Anderson’s ideas. “Every woman needs a white bikini,” explains Anderson in an interview with “Vogue” on the release of the swimwear collection. “I even got married in a white bikini.”

Now that she lives on a ranch in Canada, she needs a bathing suit “that I can use to get in the boat, go crabbing on the rock with my niece, and get a tan.” Now she has the bathing suits she wants, Anderson told Vogue. Her favorite ideas and learning experiences flowed into the individual swimwear pieces, she writes on Instagram.

The red swimsuit from her capsule collection retails for $185. But of course Pamela Anderson also kept an original “Baywatch” swimsuit. “I have one in my safe,” she told Vogue. “I used to put it on, jump in the shower and try to save my friends, run around at parties. I still try it on every now and then for fun. It still fits.”
