At prime time on May 1st, ZDF was by far the most popular with viewers. The comedy “Endlich Widower – Über alle Berge” with Joachim Król in the leading role watched an average of 5.53 million (20.1 percent market share) on Monday from 8:15 p.m. The ARD documentary “Charles – fateful years of a king” in the first five days before the coronation of the British monarch won 3.01 million viewers (10.9 percent) for themselves.

RTL came third in the holiday prime time with Inka Bause and “Bauer sucht Frau International” – 2.92 million tuned in to the dome soap (11.0 percent because it was longer than the ARD documentary).

It was followed by the broadcaster ZDFneo and the British crime series “Inspector Barnaby” (1.68 million; 6.1 percent), Vox and the start-up show “Die Höhle der Löwen” (1.48 million; 6.0 percent) and Kabel eins und the 1992 action comedy “Lethal Weapon 3” (1.28 million; 5.0 percent).

Among one million viewers from 8:15 p.m. were RTLzwei and the protzsoap “Die Geissens – Eine absolutely glamorous family” (750,000; 2.7 percent) and Sat.1 with the dome game show “Rate my Date” (660,000; 2.5 percent) and ProSieben with the American series “Grey’s Anatomy – The Young Doctors” (660,000; 2.4 percent).

During the day, things went remarkably well for ZDFneo and its Winnetou tag: “Even the first “Winnetou” film had an average of 380,000 viewers and a 4.4 percent market share from 11 a.m. before “Der Schatz im Silbersee” had 470,000 people was seen,” wrote the industry portal dwdl.de on Tuesday. “The second “Winnetou” film, in turn, reached an impressive 5.3 percent market share of the total audience from 2:19 p.m. with an average of 540,000 viewers. The most popular was “Winnetou and the half-blood Apanatschi” with 790,000 viewers, which accounted for a market share of 5, 4 percent corresponded.”
