Actor Anthony Hopkins (85) and his wife Stella Arroyave support an organization that matches pets with the soldiers who rescued them. “We love animals and want to do everything we can to support the great work that Paws of War is doing for our military members,” he said in a statement given to People magazine.

The couple’s support helps Paws of War defray the cost of rescuing pets internationally, according to the organization. “My wife and I are fortunate to be able to support such positive results,” added Hopkins.

The Brit won his second Oscar for best actor for the drama “The Father” in 2021. Hopkins won his first Oscar in 1992 for his role as Hannibal Lecter in The Silence of the Lambs. At the beginning of the year it was announced that he was planning the thriller remake “Locked” together with actor Glen Powell (34).
