Generation Z is particularly fond of the look of the late nineties and noughties. “Blue eyeshadow always reminds me of the ’90s and early 2000s,” explains Chanel makeup artist Anna Payne in an interview with British magazine Elle. Blue eyeshadow evokes memories of icons of bygone fashion eras: “I immediately think of Kate Moss and Britney Spears,” says Payne. But the previous style of Paris Hilton (42), Christina Aguilera (43) and Rihanna (35) also serves as a great source of inspiration for the bright blue eye make-up.
But how do you wear blue eyeshadow in 2024? In recent years, the emphasis in beauty has clearly shifted towards a more natural look. That’s why blue eyeshadow or eyeliner in the shade aquamarine is now an absolute eye-catcher, as it hits almost bare skin and is therefore even more in the foreground.
