We want our skin to be smooth, rosy and flawless, as these attributes stand for youth and attractiveness. But the skin remembers every year of life and every sunbath. Wrinkles and sunspots tell us how well or poorly we protect our delicate shell. The invisible damage caused by the sun is even more dangerous than pigment spots, fine lines and crow’s feet: the more frequently and more intensely we sunbathe, the greater the risk of developing skin cancer.
